At Mc Kitty Cattery, we strive to provide exceptional care for your feline companion throughout the year. We understand that certain times of the year, such as holidays and vacation seasons, are busier and in high demand. Therefore, we offer peak season rates during these periods to ensure that your cat receives the same level of attention and care during their stay. Our rates are as follows: Please note our weekend stay policy: bookings are available from Friday to Monday or Saturday to Monday. We do not offer check-ins or check-outs on Sundays, so these services will need to be scheduled for Monday. For peak periods (such as Easter and other school holidays), we require a minimum stay of 4 days, and during the Christmas season, a minimum stay of 7 days applies. Kindly note that our charges are based on a daily rate, per cat, not per night.
Rates for Cat Boarding:
Standard Rates R120 per cat per day (arrival day and departure day are both considered a day each)
All School Holidays R150 per cat per day (arrival day and departure day are both considered a day each)
All Public Holidays R175 per cat per day
Christmas Holidays is R150 per cat per day (arrival day and departure day are both considered a day each)
Please consider that if you are going away, that you possibly book your fur-baby in the day before you pack or the day before you are ready to leave. It is generally too rushed the day you leave and your kitty’s will pick up on this a few days before. So, to save them the stress of the change in their environment, always book them in a day or two before.
We understand that your cat's well-being is of utmost importance, and we assure you that the extra care and attention provided during peak seasons are well worth the investment. We are dedicated to the cats and will continue to ensure that your cat receives personalized care, a comfortable environment, and ample playtime and enrichment activities.
We recommend making reservations well in advance to secure your cat's spot during peak seasons, as availability may be limited due to high demand. Please feel free to contact us for more information or to make a booking. Please note, payments upfront secure your spot, as there are many no shows, so booking will not be valid without full payments received in advance. For confirmation of bookings at Mc Kitty Cattery, please follow the steps below:
1. Pre-booking:
o Reservations are currently made via email.
2. Payment Method:
o Payments are accepted through EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
3. Required Documentation:
o All required documents must be scanned and emailed; photos from mobile phones will not be accepted.
o Documentation includes:
▪ Signed Terms and Conditions (Ts&Cs) - Download link on bottom of page.
▪ Indemnity Form
▪ Complete and current Sterilization and Vaccination Cards
4. Booking Confirmation:
o Once all documentation and payment are received, a provisional booking confirmation will be sent via email or WhatsApp.
o Please ensure all documents and information are complete to validate your booking.
5. Booking Priority:
o Bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis (50% deposits secure your reservation).
o Confirmed bookings with deposits have priority over incomplete bookings without payment.
o Bookings with outstanding payments are considered incomplete and may be replaced by a completed booking with payment.
6. Check-in Requirements:
o At check-in, the original Sterilization & Vaccination Cards must be presented for safe keeping and validate current vaccinations.
7. Check-out Policy:
o Check-out time is strictly by 4:30 PM on the departure date.
o Late check-outs are subject to additional fees.
o No check -ins or check-outs on a Sunday (we are closed to public)
Please ensure bookings and payments are completed in advance, as availability is not based on loyalty or preference.
